Modi to address rally in Chitradurga on May 6

District BJP President K S Naveen said here on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would arrive in Chitradurga on May 6, at about 11 am, to address a party rally.

He spoke to the media at the party's district HQ and informed that the rally would be held at the government science college grounds.

He added that all candidates from the Chitradurga Lok Sabha constituency (including Pavagada and Sira of Tumakuru district) and Davanagere Lok Sabha constituency would attend the public meeting.

Besides candidates, State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa, Union ministers and state leaders will take part. Over 5000 'key' voters of the district have also been invited to the rally.

Union Minister Smriti Irani will take part in a roadshow on May 5 on behalf of Poornima Srinivas, the only lady candidate in the district.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is likely addressing a gathering on May 7 at Hosadurga, Naveen added.
