Bengaluru: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) probing the alleged scam related to site allotments in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has issued notices to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife BM Parvathi and Karnataka Minister Byrathi Suresh to appear for questioning.
"Yes notice has been issued(to my wife)," the CM has confirmed.
While Parvathi was directed to appear at the ED’s regional office in Shanti Nagar in Bengaluru on Tuesday, January 28, it wasn’t immediately clear when Suresh, the Urban Development and Town Planning minister, was summoned.
The ED is probing the money laundering charge in the alleged scam, of which Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is a key suspect. The Central agency had recently attached immovable assets worth about Rs 300 crore. Meanwhile, sources suggested that the Karnataka Lokayukta, which has probed the alleged irregularities in the site allotments, submitted its report to the Karnataka High Court earlier today. Further details are awaited.
