Karnataka High Court adjourns hearing on CM's appeal in MUDA case

Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Saturday adjourned to March 22, 2025 the hearing in the writ appeals filed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and landowner Devaraju in connection with the Mysuru Urban Development Corporation (MUDA) alternative sites allotment case.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice NV Anjaria and Justice MI Arun adjourned the hearing after it was submitted that some accommodation is required as senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi will submit the lead arguments in the case.

Siddaramaiah has challenged the single bench’s order dismissing his petition challenging the sanction accorded by Governor Taawarchand Gehlot to investigate against him. Similarly, another appeal is filed by the owner of the land in question Devaraju claiming that he was not made a party in the proceedings before the single bench and the order has now forced him to face criminal prosecution.
