The district administration has banned the entry of Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik to the district following a report submitted by the police.

Speaking to DH, Deputy Commissioner V P Ikkeri said that the order has been issued after the police submitted a report to the district administration that his participation in the Hindu Maha Sabha Ganeshotsava programme slated to be held in Bhadravathi on September 11 might disturb law and order.

Besides, Muthalik had delivered provocative speeches in 29 programmes held in various parts of the state. Bhadravathi is a sensitive town and his provocative speech could pose a threat to law and order. Based on these factors, the district administration has imposed restrictions on his entry, he added.
