State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of causing confusion about the issue of taking over mutts and temples.

"The CM had made the move for takeovers. Now that it has been received with overwhelming opposition, he has retracted," said Yeddyurappa.

Speaking after flagging off the second leg of BJP's poll campaign at Sakleshpur, Yeddyurappa said that the BJP would only gain from the BSP-JD(S) alliance that was announced recently.

"We are not affected by poll alliances of other parties. We have seen many such alliances. We will achieve our target of bagging 150 seats," he said confidently.

Yeddyurappa said that Rahul Gandhi's visit to the state had benefited the BJP. He stated that he would visit all the places that Gandhi does.
