Dignitaries release 21 volumes of 'Bharat BoudhIKS' books of Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan at JSS Science and Technology University, in Mysuru, on Monday.

Mysuru: B Suresh, pro-chancellor of JSS Science and Technology University (JSSSTU), Mysuru, released the 21 volumes of the books published by Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan (VBUSS), under the Bharat BoudhIKS initiative.

After releasing the books, Suresh said, “The 21 volumes are not just books. They are a bridge between our ancient intellectual brilliance with the modern challenges of the 21st century. They represent the future of Indian education, equipping our youth to be globally competent, while being culturally rooted”.

The books published by VBUSS form the comprehensive syllabus for the upcoming Bharat BoudhIKS Examination 2026, a flagship initiative of the VBUSS, designed as a transformative educational project to integrate Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into mainstream higher education, fostering cultural rootedness and encouraging problem-solving through traditional wisdom.

The examination is open to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and PhD students across India and will be held in an offline (OMR + written booklet) format, on either January 31, Saturday, or February 1, Sunday, (institutes can opt for any one date), with a nominal registration fee of Rs 100.

The books are categorised into three disciplines: seven books each from Science (eg: Vedic Mathematics, Bharatiya medicine and surgery, Bharatiya Kala-Darsana), Social Science (eg: Rajadharma: governance, Bharatiya economic thought, town planning), and Arts (eg: Naṭya, Nada, and Bharatiya Chetana, Vastu Shastra). Students have the flexibility to opt for any one of these three disciplines.

The first prize is Rs 1 lakh, along with prizes for second (Rs 50,000), third (Rs 25,000), and fourth (Rs 2,500) ranks. Additionally, top rankers will be invited to a fully-sponsored national conclave, scheduled to be held in New Delhi.
