Mysuru Traffic Police have launched a drive to collect old penalties from vehicle owners for various traffic violations.
Police will seize vehicles on the spot if the owners fail to respond to the Field Traffic Violations Report (FTVR) notices. Police said that despite serving notices, many ignored them and failed to pay penalty. Violators can pay the fine at the jurisdictional police station.
"We will ask vehicle owners to pay up the pending fine. If they fail, the vehicle will be seized on the spot," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Crime) Vikram Amte.
