Narrow escape for people as tree falls on NH

A huge tree fell on Kedakal Highway, near Suntikoppa, on Wednesday morning.

A major incident was averted when a huge tree uprooted and fell on the National Highway, in front of Bhadrakali Temple, in Kedakal village, on Wednesday.

A couple riding on a bike had a narrow escape.

It has been planned to clear the tree on Wednesday. But, in the morning, the tree fell on the road all of a sudden.

The eyewitnesses said that the driver of a gipsy vehicle noticed the tree leaning towards the road and alerted the others.

The vehicular movement was disrupted on the NH as the vehicles lined up till the tree was cleared.

The general public cut the tree to facilitate the movement of vehicles.
