By printing portraits of national leaders on paper plates, miscreants have insulted our national leaders. There is a need to initiate action against those who have printed them, said zilla panchayat member Ballaranda Mani Uthappa.

Addressing a press meet here on Friday, he said we have submitted a complaint to the deputy commissioner in this regard. “Food was served in the plates after a football tournament at Chettalli recently. The plates had the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, ex-President Abdul Kalam and others. After participants had food, the plates were thrown into dustbins, he said.
