National Disaster Response Force team has rescued 11 people including a pregnant woman at Jodupal that shares the border with Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada districts.

Boulders have fallen on tracks near Yedakumari railway station near Sakleshpur. Heavy rains and landslide have severely affected 55-kilometre railway line between Sakleshpur railway station in Hassan district and Subramanya in Dakshina Kannada district. It may take over a week's time to restore the line.

As restoration works are under progress on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru Highway via Madikeri, vehicles bound for Mangaluru have been diverted at the entrance of Kushalnagar town in Kodagu district.
