Zilla Lekhakara Mattu Kalavidara Balaga president Keshav Kamath said that the young generation should respect and work towards the development of all languages.

Speaking during a multilingual poets’ meet held as a part of the Beary meet organised by Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy and Kodagu Beary Welfare Trust at Kaveri Kalakshetra in Madikeri on Tuesday, he said that the poets’ meet features the poems written in languages which use Kannada script.

Beary academy member Abdul Rehman said that the motto of the poets’ meet is to reflect linguistic harmony. Literature can bind the minds. One language can contribute to the development of other, he added.
