NITK to hike intake of foreign pupils

Speaking with mediapersons here on Wednesday, NITK Director Prof Sandeep Sancheti said admission of students from abroad will be made more safe and transparent from the next academic year. “At present, we have reserved 110 seats for foreign students in undergraduate courses. In the post graduate level, we will allot a maximum of 25 seats under DASA. We have plans to allot few seats for foreign students in the MBA course too,” he said.

He added that as many as 30 foreign students studying in NITK will be sent to their nations as ambassadors to promote DASA Scheme.

The government has approved increase in the tuition fee for foreign students which was stagnant for the past 10 years.
