'No clash in judicial, Lokayukta probes'

“The Inquiry Commission is governed by the Commission of Inquiry Act which is a Central Act, while the Lokayukta is governed by the Lokayukta Act, which is a State Act. A Central Act always takes precedence over the State Act. In this case, if the Lokayukta has started the process of inquiry, the proceedings till date can be handed over the Commission,” Acharya said responding to queries from reporters in Bangalore.

Meanwhile, the JD(S) on Thursday lodge another complaint with the Lokayukta against Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and his family pertaining to the alleged land scams. The party Spokesperson Y S V Datta submitted the complaint copy to Lokayukta justice Santosh Hegde, listing out five more cases.
