Talking to media persons, he said, “I agree that in Gulbarga question paper bundles meant for afternoon examination were opened. But nobody either could look into them or pass on the information to others as the personnel did not carry mobile phones in the examination centres.”

On Love Jehad, he said the CID was inquiring as to whether there was any organised effort to use somebody to achieve a particular end. So far, there was no proof of organised attempt to convert girls into Islam.
On cyber crimes, the DGP said only awareness could help reduce these crimes. Internet users should properly sign out, he added.
He said naxal activities were limited to a few police stations in some districts. Steps were already initiated to ensure that benefits of government schemes reached the remote villages in those areas.
