Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said on Monday that there was no proposal at present to lodge a complaint with the party high command against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa over the latter’s statement that he would show his political strength after returning from a tour of Kashi.

He was speaking to reporters after laying the foundation stone for installing the world’s tallest Shivalinga at the Siddaganga Mutt in the city.

When asked about Yeddyurappa not speaking to him at public functions, Gowda said that he makes it a point to speak to the former chief minister. “I had also been to his house and there are no differences among us,” Gowda said. When questioned about Yeddyurappa’s planned show of strength, he said: “You should ask him about that.”

Gowda announced that he would expand the State Cabinet soon after the Udupi-Chikmagalur byelection and new faces would get a chance.
