After preliminary hearing, a bench of Chief Justice K. G. Balakrishnan and Justice P Sathasivam issued notice to Karnataka and asked it to file its reply in 3 weeks clarifying the allegations.
Tamil Nadu has sought interim stay on the project seeking direction for ‘’restraining the state of Karnataka from executing the Shivasamudram Hydro Electric project, till the disposal of the civil appeals by this honourable court and the application for clarification pending before the Tribunal,’’ said the Tamil Nadu petition.
