With just a month away for Ashada Fridays and Vardhanthi Utsava of Sri Chamundeshwari Devi at Chamundi Hill, DC G Lakshmikanth Reddy held a preliminary meeting with the officials, to make necessary preparations on Wednesday.
He said that vehicular movement would be banned on the hill, like previous years, on Ashada Fridays on June 27, July 4, 11 and 18, and Vardanthi Utsava on July 17. “Parking facility will be arranged on the ground near Lalitha Mahal Palace. The Police Department should make necessary arrangements for security and traffic management. The Mysuru City Corporation should take measures for drinking water arrangements and to maintain cleanliness. Cesc should take measures to illuminate the temple and for lighting arrangement on the 1,000 steps,” he said.
City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, MCC Commissioner Shaikh Tanveer Asif, DCP Muthuraj, Sri Chamundeshwari Development Authority Secretary Roopa and others participated in the meeting.
