<p>Mysuru: BJP leader and Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar on Wednesday slammed the Karnataka unit of Congress for posting a Mahatma Gandhi's quote emphasising peace on its social media handle, which was deleted later, following an outcry by critics.</p><p>The Mysuru-Kodagu MP said the Congress should "mend its way, at least now."</p><p>The Congress had posted it after India carried out an air strike at nine locations inside Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) as part of its 'Operation Sindoor', to avenge the killing of 26 tourists by terrorist at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.</p><p>Speaking to media persons, in Mysuru, on Wednesday, Wadiyar said, "The Congress is now misusing Gandhi's mantra of peace. There is a limit to tolerance. How long can one remain non-violent? Everyone has witnessed the Pahalgam terror attack. The whole nation was waiting for such a response. The Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given an excellent response”.</p>.Salute extraordinary courage of armed forces behind 'Operation Sindoor': Siddaramaiah.<p>Wadiyar said, “Pakistan has always used terrorists as a tool to threaten, terrorise and destabilise India. Now, Indian soldiers have given a fitting reply. Whenever the situation demands, such replies will continue. Operation Sindhoor has been praised, not only in India, but also abroad. In such a situation, the Congress has posted an insensitive message. This is not the time to preach peace, but to punish those who killed our citizens. It is a crime to play politics now”.</p><p>“Let us all stand with the government and our defence forces. We have sent a message that every attack will have a counterattack. Modi is determined to eradicate terrorism, and Operation Sindhoor is a beginning in this direction. The terrorists killed innocent tourists and robbed many women of their ‘Sindhoor’ (a symbol of marriage). Thus, the Modi government is delivering ‘justice’ by launching attacks under the name ‘Operation Sindhoor’,” the MP said.</p>
