Mangled remains of the car which was involved in collision with a truck near Manchale in Sagar taluk in Shivamogga district on Saturday.
A truck driver was killed on the spot, while four others were injured in an accident in Sagar taluk in Shivamogga district on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Salman (23), a resident of Chennagiri.
The injured are Kaleemullah, Shafiwullah, Mohammad Niyaz and Galib, all teachers at Madrasa at Azad Masjid.
They are being treated at Megan hospital, said the police.
The accident occurred near Manchale after Salman, the truck driver, lost control and hit the car in which the injured were travelling.
