He was here to inaugurate the country’s first Indian Dental Association (IDA) education centre at Danta Bhavana. He also launched the free dental clinic on the same premises. The education centre will train dentists with the latest treatment and expose them to the latest innovations. The centre will also conduct regular continuing dental health programme.  

While interacting with IDA members, Dr Majumdar said that dentists’ improving their skills with new technology was the need of the hour. He said from 2012, securing 20 points in continuing dental health programme would be essential for a dentist to renew his / her registration. The free dental clinic will provide services like check-up, tooth extraction, scaling, filling and denture to the poor.
