The loans of those farmers having less than 10 hectares of farm land should be waived off. A loan waiver package should be announced for coffee growers, they said.
The protesters also alleged that there have been misappropriations in the grant given for agricultural equipment.
The demands included: The paddy rate should be revised. The agricultural policy should be formed scientifically. The actual manufacturing cost of agricultural and industrial products should be made known to public.
The people practicing adulteration in farm materials should be punished. One should be allowed to purchase agri equipments from any authorised company.
