The padayatra which began from the Town Panchayat Office premises raised fund to the tune of Rs 49,349 from the public. Taluk Panchayat President K M Lokesh, Zilla Panchayat member V V Shashidhar and Town Panchayat president H J Kariappa were present. Party sources said that a total of Rs 51,000 will be sent to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
