Panchatantra, a software developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC), in association with the department of Panchayat Raj and being introdued in all the Gram Panchayats in Kodagu for transparency in administration will redefine the way the whole panchayat system is run.
Sitting in any part of the world, one can get the details on the Gram Panchayat and villages through the Panchatantra.
Panchatantra is an on line accounting system and helps in maintaing the day to day accounts and administration of the panchayat. It will also provide details on the facilities available from the government through the panchayat. The details on the property, services, development works, minutes of Grama Sabhe will be available on Panchatantra. It will provide geographic, demographic, economic and administrative data. This data can be accessed by anyone anytime and anywhere once it becomes operational.
Apart from making the administrative system easy at the Gram Panchayat levels, it provides complete online administrative control of the panchayats to the district and State-level officials.
Panchatantra will also provide complete details on the Gram Panchayat members, staff, projects of the Gram Panchayat, tax, funds, deposits, bills, payment of bills, receipts and expenditure of the Gram Panchayats.
