The High Court on Friday dismissed a PIL filed by Shabbir Ahmed Mustafa, a resident of Mysuru, seeking directions to the state government to recover the loss incurred by him, during a bandh called by the BJP at Mysuru in March, this year.
The BJP had called for a bandh following the murder of its party worker. The petitioner said the Supreme Court had directed that the loss incurred during a bandh has to be recovered by those who had given the bandh call.
A division bench of Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice Ravi Malimath did not find merit in the PIL and dismissed it.
