Students alleged that Dr Muninarayanappa had behaved in a repulsive manner with girl students. They added that Muninarayanappa called up some of the girl students late in the night and spoke indecently.

“Muninarayanappa is supposed to take 16 hours classes for a week. However, he takes less than 10 hours of classes in a week. Students who questioned this errant behaviour have been allotted poor marks in their internal marks,” students added.
Students said that Muninarayanappa was demanding money from students to give attendance and marks.

They later submitted a memorandum to the PG Centre Director Dr C Nagabhusan. Nagabhusan said that he had written a letter to Bangalore University vice-chancellor four days ago on the charges levelled by students against Muninarayanappa.
He added that Dr Sarvamangala had already been appointed co-ordinator of the Commerce Department.

Youth Student Welfare Forum’s Suresh Gowda, SFI Ramesh, Adima Shakti Students Forum’s Hoohalli Nagaraj, Janata Dal Student wing’s Arun Kumar, ABVP Shivakumar and JMSN’s V Geeta and others took part in the protest.
