The post-mortem examination of Anurag Tewari’s body has failed to conclusively ascertain the cause of his death.

“Asphyxia, cause? Hence viscera and blood preserved for chemical analysis and heart preserved for histopathological examination,” the autopsy report said.

A panel of four doctors had conducted the post-mortem  of the body.

Forensic examination

Lucknow police chief Deepak Kumar said that the samples would be sent to the forensic science laboratory for examination.

“We will get these examinations done on a priority basis...we will also request for inclusion of an expert from some reputed forensic agency,” Kumar added.

Kumar had on Wednesday attributed the death to “traumatic injury” and said that there was an injury mark on Tewari’s chin.
