Bengaluru: Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) Minister Priyank Kharge slammed the BJP on Saturday for “forgetting” Dharmasthala and urged the leaders of the saffron party to clarify whether they were in favour of Soujanya’s family or those whom the family was accusing.
Taking to X, Priyank said: "Why are BJP leaders suddenly silent about Dharmasthala?? BJP’s drama on protecting the religion is just limited to four days?? Soujanya’s relative Vittal Gowda has revealed the troubling fact that Bangle Gudda at Dharmasthala has loads of skeletal remains. There are reports that this place literally looks like a battlefield."
The minister wondered why the BJP was silent on Vittal Gowda’s statement. "What do BJP leaders, who visited Soujanya’s house, say?? Let BJP leaders clarify whether they are in favour of Soujanya’s family or in favour of those whom the family is accusing."
He was referring to BJP State President B Y Vijayendra’s visit to Soujanya’s house and his interaction with her mother on September 1 after BJP’s Dharmasthala Chalo on the same day.
