Fans of Kannada cine actor Puneeth Rajkumar went amok and caused rampage at a theatre in the city on Thursday, when a technical snag marred their joy of watching his new release.

‘Yaare Koogadali’ was being screened in the morning at Sangam theatre on Chandragupta road, when high frequency speakers failed.

The crackling sound was heard, leading to its failure, enraging the audience who had watched the movie sans glitches for half-an-hour from 10.30 am.

Some among the audience, broke the glass panes at the entrance even as the theatre staff  tried to pacify them.

Following this, the management cancelled all four shows of the day and promised to allow the same ticket holders on Friday.

Lashkar police, who arrived at the spot later, succeeded in bringing the situation under control. However, no complaint has been lodged.
