He was addressing the valedictory of the 324th de-addiction camp conducted by Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Develpment Project, Madyavarjana Vyavasthapana Samiti, Makkandur Credit Cooperative Society and local organisations at Makkandur near here on Saturday. “All religions preach good life. Let us build a beautiful life on the base given by these religions. Animal slaughter and drinking are not good practices,” he said.

“Drinking invites more problems. Those who all are ready to live a new life by forsaking drinking will have a great future,” he said.

SKDRDP Director Srihari said both public effort and responsibility are need to keep bad habits at a distance. Development is possible only through the best utilisation of human resources, he said.

Sullia Janajagruthi Samiti’s P C Jayaram said if a person should not be a burden on his family, he should be away from all kinds of bad habits including drinking. Makkandur GP President Madhusudan, leader Annachira Sathish, Madyavarjana Vyavastapana Samiti Project Director Anand Suvarna, honourary advisors Ramesh Rai, K K Muttanna spoke. Janajagruti Vedike’s Vincent Pais advised more than 40 participants of the camp how to lead a good life in the future.
