Rachana S R Rao of Mangala Swimming Club won medals in the second edition of Khelo India’s swimming competition organised in Balewadi in Pune.
She won the silver medal in 50-metre breaststroke (under 17 category). Rachana clocked 38.55 seconds, to win the silver medal.
Rachana won the gold medal in 4X100 metre medley relay and bronze in 100-metre breaststroke.
A ninth standard student at Ramakrishna School in Mangaluru, Rachana is the daughter of Radhakrishna Rao and Sumithra Rao. She is trained by coaches Lokaraj Vittal, M Shivananda Gatti, Pundalik Kharvi, Shishir S Gatti and Shubham, said a press release.
