The Chamarajanagar district received heavy rains. According to revenue authorities, the district recorded around 6 mm of rainfall. There were reports of rains in several villages in Chamarajanagar, Kollegal and Gundlupet taluks. The rains started around 11:30 pm and continued till 3 am on Saturday.

The farmers have started sowing of sunflower, jowar and pulses.

In Mandya, the rains accompanied with thunder storm and strong gale lashed the district.

The rain water entered several houses in Halahalli Extension of the city and caused problems to the residents.
