Raitha Chaitanya Yatre to arrive in Chikkamagaluru on Sept 11

Member of Parliament, P Shobha Karandlaje accused that the state government has failed to take up development works.

Inspite of increase in farmers’ suicide, the government has failed to come to the rescue of farmers, she criticised.

Speaking at at a preparatory meet of ‘Raitha Chaitanya yatre’ in Chikkamagaluru on Monday, Karandlaje claimed that the previous BJP government had framed several policies and programmes for the welfare of farmers.

‘Raitha Chaitanya yatre’ is an attempt to instill confidence in farmers and convince them not to commit suicide, Karandlaje stated. Member of Legislative Assembly C T Ravi said that the yatre will travel across the state from August 31 to September 31. It will arrive Chikkamagaluru on September 11. 

He said that the State government has failed to announce any development programmes for farmers.
