The Karnataka Photographers’ Association (KPA) will organise a protest rally on October 27 to support the farmers’ agitation demanding speedy implementation of Kalasa-Banduri project.
Members of KPA will raise their voice against the Goa government that has raised its objection to the project. “We are holding a rally to lend our support to the farmers who are facing a severe water crisis and suffering huge crop losses,” said B S Shashidhar, president, KPA. The rally will be flagged off by Gurusidda Rajyogindra Swami, head, Moorusavira Mutt and will end at the Rani Chennamma Circle in Hubballi.
A memorandum will be submitted to the government seeking implementation of the river projects.
