Rajkumar in a mischievous mood is indeed a rare sight. Over 50 such photographs of the veteran actor in different moods, captured by Bhavani N Lakshminarayana of Chikkaballapur in the late 60s and 70s are on display at the exhibition titled ‘Dr Rajkumar - Chitra Chittara’.
The photos of Raj sharing lighter moments with his co-artistes make for an interesting collection at the exhibition inaugurated by his youngest son and actor Puneeth Rajkumar.

They include Raj with Udaya Shankar, Aarthi, Udayakumar, Vaadiraj, Narasimharaju, Balakrishna and others.

A picture of Uday Shankar being carried by Dr Raj on his back drew the attention of the visitors. Dr Rajkumar with his mother and one of his sons and another picture of Raj performing yoga are also on display.

Other photographs are celebration of his 100th film at Chikkaballapur and his participating in fund-raising programmes for various social causes.

Admiring the photographs, Puneeth said he had himself never seen such photos of his father.

“These are a very rare collection. They remind me of my childhood days spent with my father,” he said.

Photographer Lakshminarayana said he was lucky to have taken such photographs of a personality like Rajkumar. An emotional Lakshminarayana said these pictures were a tribute to the thespian on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

The three-day exhibition will be on till April 24.
