The arrested have been identified as Dinesh Poojary and Shivananda Poojary. Acting on a tip off, the officials raided the house of Dinesh Poojary. However, the main accused Brijesh alias Bhaskar is absconding. Excise officials have also seized 25 cans with a capacity to hold 35 litres each. The value of the seized property is Rs one lakh.
2 H1N1 death in Udupi
Two persons who were infected with H1N1 virus died in Udupi on Tuesday. They have been identified as Renuka (40) and Leelamma (42) from Davangere. Speaking to Deccan Herald, DHO Dr Ramachandra Bairy informed that the two patients were referred to KMC, Manipal in an critical condition. The tests confirmed that they have been infected with H1NI virus.
