Speaking at the sidelines of an event at National Law School India University on Saturday, he said: “I have certain reservations about many of the Ministers, but I don’t speak.”

“I am a lawyer with 50 years of experience. I will not harm anybody without any basis. I cannot keep making statements like Reddy brothers. I am not doing business like them (while) being Ministers. This is a serious conflict of interest with the government,” he said.

Reacting to the notice sent by him to the Minister Janardhan Reddy, the Governor said he had received a petition from the State legislature which he could have referred immediately to the Election Commission, but since he did not find any details of the alleged contracts, he sent a notice to the Reddy brothers, due to his sense of natural justice.

“What is there in it?  If you say that there is no subsistent contract, then that is the end of matter. Now that is the generosity I showed to them because they were Ministers. I am not acting without jurisdiction. Constitution says all disqualifications have to decided by the Governor on the opinion of the Election Commission.”
