In a statement here on Friday, the South Western Railway (SWR) said, drinking water and fodder would be transported on condition that the consignment was booked by the district magistrate and consigned to relief commissioner/district magistrate of notified drought-affected districts.
The fodder under this scheme included bhoosa, chari, hay, kirby kutti (kutter), straw and dry grass. These instructions would remain valid till January 31, 2010.
