He was speaking after inaugurating the road works taken up at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore under Gram Sadak Yojana at Kannuru on the outskirts of Kolar Gold Fields.
The 8.5 km road stretching from Devarahalli to Kannur via Kangandlahalli village will be developed. This would enable the farmers of this region to easily transport their produce mainly vegetable, fruits and silk cocoons, Sampangi added.
City Municipal Council President Muniratnam Naidu, leader Amaranarayana Reddy, Raghavendra Reddy and others were present on the occasion.
