Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah, who has been given the additional charge as Governor of Karnataka, was sworn in at the Raj Bhavan on Sunday.
The Chief Justice of High Court of Karnataka, D H Waghela, administered the oath of office and secrecy to Rosaiah, who has been given this post after H R Bhardwaj demitted office on Saturday, following the end of his tenure.
Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa, Legislative Council chairperson D H Shankaramurthy, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his Cabinet colleagues H K Patil, T B Jayachandra were present.
There was no representation from the Opposition at the swearing-in ceremony.
