In Chikkaballapur, the party workers took put a protest march from Shidlaghatta circle to Deputy Commissioner’s office. District unit president Manjunath alleged that the government has displayed its ‘communal attitude’ by passing the bill amid stiff resistance from the Opposition parties.

Bucking under pressure
“The Chief Minister, buckling under pressure from some religious institutions, has snatched the away the food of Dalits and Muslims,” he said.

Office-bearers K N Narasimha Murthy, G C Venkataramanappa, G A Murthy and others took part in the protest.The party members submitted a memorandum to the Assistant Commissioner R S Peddappaiah in Kolar, urging the Governor not to give assent to the Bill passed in the Assembly.

District unit general secretary Chitti Babu, Samata Sainik Dal district unit president M K Ramaiah, secretary T Venkatesh and others were present.
