A gang of three men robbed a gutka merchant of Rs 16 lakh in Davangere on Friday night.
According to the complaint lodged by Abdul Hafiz, he was carrying the cash in a bag and walking on Gujari Lane when three men intercepted him, snatched the cash bag and fled away. However, additional superintendent of police T J Udesh said that they were enquiring whether the bag had such a huge amount of money.
