Rumour mills haunt HIMS

The protesters said that the recruitment has been done as per procedure and there was no kickback of any sort. They have decided to dispatch a letter signed by all  to the chief minister through the college director.

However during afternoon,  rumours spread that a lab technician who had allegedly taken Rs two lakh from an employee, was returning since she had been retrenched. A few protesters went to a shop near the HDFC Bank. But, on seeing the protesters, the lab technician gave them the slip.  Protesters recovered money from the shop.

When the shop owner said that the money belonged to him, some of the money was given to him and the remaining was taken allegedly by the protesters. By that time rumours had spread that Rs 25 lakh was kept in the shop. However, when everybody searched the shop no  such money was found. Finally, the protesters returned to their dharna venue.
