Sabarimala Ayyappa Samiti in Udupi district vowed to appeal against the Supreme Court’s recent verdict on allowing unrestricted entry to women of all age groups into the Sabarimala shrine.

Sabarimala Ayyappa Samiti, Udupi district President Girish G N told reporters that as a citizen of the country, he will respect the verdict.

He, however, described the verdict as unfortunate. The SC’s verdict will destroy the sanctity of the temple and temple premises. Sabarimala is always in the centre of controversies foisted by those against the temple and its administration, he alleged.
