AICC President Rahul Gandhi assured that he would ask Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to recommend to the Centre, the implementation of the  Justice Sadashiva Committee report.  

Rahul who is on his Janashirvada Yatra, invited dalit leaders to come see him at the Raichur circuit house on Monday, after a black flag protest by  dalits  demanding implementation of the committee report.  

Dalit leaders said that Rahul spoke to them for 10 minutes and said that in the upcoming Assembly polls in the state, dalit candidates will be given tickets on priority.

Among others dalit leaders Ambanna Arolikara, Ravindra Patti  spoke to the AICC chief.  

500 metre flag welcome    

Earlier Rahul was welcomed with a 500 metre Congress flag that stretched from the Yaramaras circuit house to Ganj circle where the Janashirvada Yatra began.  

The roadshow passed through Tipu Sultan circle, Basaveshwara circle, and reach Devadurga. Rahul stopped to meet Kalmala and Gabbur villagers on the way.
