Three officials travelling in a jeep belonging to the tahsildhar were stopped and attacked when they seized a tractor ferrying sand illegally.
Driver Giddegowda, D group employee Manjunath, second grade assistant Murthy were assaulted on Heeraguppe Road when they were heading towards Belur Police Station.
They alleged that Heeraguppe Anand, Harohalli Papanna and Andale Paramesh had stopped the tahsildar’s vehicle and attacked them.
The officials are undergoing treatment at the government hospital. The two tractors, which were seized have been taken away by the attackers. Belur police have registered a case.
