BJP National President Amit Shah said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was scared of losing the May 12 elections in Karnataka and hence the Congress is resorting to crooked ways to win the polls.
Alluding to the I-T raid on a Badami resort owned by MLA and Congress candidate (Vijayanagar) Anand Singh recently, Shah alleged that the crores of rupees seized were evidence of malpractice.
"Siddaramaiah fled the battlefield in Chamundeshwari and came to Badami because he was scared. Mr Siddaramaiah you will not win in Badami also," Shah commented sarcastically.
"Siddaramaiah who goes around wearing a Rs 40 lakh watch, lectures on socialism. He said stated that the watch was a present from one Dr Varma. Why did he receive the gift? For what reason? There is no answer to this question. Is the watch included in the list of assets that were submitted to the election commission?" Shah asked.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is like a high power electric generator. A transformer called Siddaramaiah is now burnt out due to the high voltage current. So we have to change the transformer and replace it with another BJP transformer called B S Yeddyurappa who will give good governance for five years," Shah remarked.
