Assuring that he shall exert pressure on the state government, the seer sympathised with the youth saying that he understands their pain of being deceived by the company after they had undergone training hoping for the job. He said he is aware of the problems faced by the project displaced families and he expressed his support towards them.

About 183 youth have undergone training in Karnataka Polytechnic (KPT) and some are still undergoing training just in hope of getting the jobs as promised by the company.

The protesters are demanding that 183 candidates who are trained have to be immediately recruited by MRPL or ONGC and the company should give written assurance that jobs will be provided for youth who are yet to complete the training.

In case the company fails to provide jobs as promised, then each of the youth has to be compensated with Rs 30 lakhs. The seer received a memorandum form the youth.
