Ever since the model code of conduct was announced in the state, the Election Commission (EC) has seized Rs 91.58 crore cash across the state.

The EC has also seized 5.4 lakh litres of liquor worth Rs 24.83 crore in the state.

The poll panel has seized narcotic substance worth Rs 40.18 lakh. Various squads of the EC have also seized gold and silver worth Rs 44.28 crore. According to a press release issued by the Election Commission, the total seizure which includes cash, articles, liquor, and drugs are worth Rs 182.40 crore.

The EC has booked 1,388 Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violation cases in this election season.
