Devotees of Siddaganga mutt seer Dr Shivakumara Swamiji who came to see him on Friday as usual, went home disappointed as the seer is admitted to BGS Global Hospital, Bengaluru, after becoming unwell.

According to mutt sources, devotees who were unaware of the seer's absence due to illness, prostrated before the seer's decorated seat that he normally sits to give audience, took 'prasada' and left.

Siddaganga mutt seer centenarian Dr Shivakumara Swamiji was admitted to the Bengaluru BGS hospital early Friday morning for cold and lung congestion.

The 110-year-old seer suffered from wheezing on Thursday night. Yet, he performed his daily religious ritual (Ishtalinga Pooja) early Friday morning in the same state, before leaving Tumakuru for Bengaluru, mutt sources said.
