Belagavi: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah lost his cool and vent his anger at a top cop after woman BJP worker attempted to obstruct his speech during the ‘Samvidhan Bachao Rally’ organised against increase in prices of petrol, diesel, LPG and essential commodities at CPEd ground.

The lady raising slogans against the Congress and waved black cloth towards him after which she was detained by the police.

AICC General Secretary Incharge of State Randeep Singh Surjewala, KPCC President and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Public Works Department and District Incharge Minister Satish Jarkiholi, Women and Child Welfare Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar and others had completed their speeches.

When Siddaramaiah completed part of his speech, BJP woman worker Shilpa Kekare who was sitting in the crowd among the women Congress workers raising slogans against the Congress government and chief minister opposed his address and waived black flag towards him. It led to commotion in the rally and all attention being garnered by the protestor.

Siddaramaiah too appeared disturbed and began to question to who was it and why was the problem being created.

An enraged Siddaramaiah called Dharwad Additional Superintendent of Police Narayan Baramani who was infront of the stage and took him to task for the incident. He also raised his hand towards the police official in anger. Tourism Minister H K Patil spoke to the chief minister and he cooled down.

Congress workers in the crowd raised slogans against BJP.

Police personnel faced resistance from Kekare while she was being taken towards the police vehicle. Congress workers too attempted to heckle Kekare and attempted to stop the police vehicle by laying siege to it.

Kekare said, while the country has been stunned due to the terrorist attack at Pahalgam in Kashmir, Congress and Siddaramaiah have resorted to politics.
